Jeongseob Kim is an Assistant Professor of Urban and Environmental Engineering at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). His research interests lie in urban regeneration, housing policy and planning, and neighborhood change, as well as applications of quantitative techniques to urban planning. He served as a planner and consultant for various institutions, such as the Inter-American Development Bank, Daegu Metropolitan Council, and Cheil Engineering, a private planning consulting firm.

The research in the housing and urban development lab aims to construct equitable and resilient cities by analyzing housing and urban development issues and suggesting policy alternatives to solve the problems based on the urban planning and economy theories. Research areas include housing policy, housing market analysis, affordable housing, neighborhood change, urban regeneration, and social vulnerability, as well as international development.
